watched two movies within 5 days. the holiday with nav on tuesday and fast food nation today. holiday: GOOD, fast food nation: kinda sucked. it's put me off fastfood forever. and plus it was pretty boring and gross. 2 pointless sex scenes(ok not pointless, they were there to show how one guy took advantage of women with the promise that he would get them good jobs-but the filmmaker dint have to make it quite so graphic) and a few pointless scenes of ppl trying to free cows(that dint want to be freed-the stupid things) and other ppl stumbling across the desert. had dinner with aga, bob and arlene at kenny rogers after that. great fun just sitting around and chatting. class outing next week YAY!
yeah anyway: the holiday...very nice. kate winslet and jude law were very nice to watch. cameron diaz playing the same old blonde bimbo role. she's on a fast track to having a completely one-dimensional stereotyped career.but all in all a nice movie and MUCH MORE WORTH 950 than FFN. next on the list: blood diamond. and an orlando bloom movie(forgot what its called but hey, its orlando bloom, i've got a tradition with the girls to watch his movies together) and babel the new movie with brad pitt and cate blanchett.
went back to school yesterday to hang around and eat hock seng choon fishball mee, which was as divine as usual. saw sean and arvin...talked crap, went to accompany my sis to do her mani...then came home. ok i've had a boring week la. went out everyday. job hunting with xunny, mich and jema in HMV on thurs which was really funny. aiyah, not much to say, shall not bore you with a recap. we'll talk when my life gets a bit more interesting. |
